Wednesday's Word (June 26)

Wednesday's Word:
I apologize for being late with Wednesday's word. I simply forgot to do it yesterday!

The word for today is:
vacuous, adjective
Pronounced vak-u-us
Definition: lacking expression, unintelligent, empty

Last week's word was umbrage.
"I take umbrage at your suggestion that I murdered my husband!"

  1. These words would probably work in historicals or certain settings. I don't know that you could use them in a contemporary novel. I've never heard anyone use either of them in conversation.

    That said, they have an interesting sound. I'd love to invent a character, who uses words like this. :)
